Our in-house claims team here at BQI Insurance are sadly dealing with more and more vehicle thefts so where possible, try to take as many precautions as you can to avoid becoming a victim.
Ensure vehicles are locked and alarmed whenever left unattended (even if only for a few seconds; opportunists are everywhere these days!). Always try to park in a lit up and safe/secure area where possible, store keys away from your front door and out of sight whilst at home, lock your doors whilst driving to help prevent carjacking, and always double check your car is locked when using an electronic locking device such as a fob.
