A couple of weeks ago, a few members of our in-house Claims Team volunteered their time for a morning at BQI's chosen company charity, Cynthia Spencer Hospice, to assist in their donation centre located on Moulton Park.
Upon arrival, the team could see the magnitude of the operation within the charity’s retail unit and the different aspects it covered, so they couldn’t wait to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!
Not only is the centre there to take donations from the public, but it also welcomes people into the unit to shop the items as well as running their own Ebay store.
Our team were tasked with sorting the clothes on the racks as these had become mixed overtime, and although this was only a small part of the operation within the unit, they gave it their very best effort and wanted to ensure they made a real difference with the few hours they spent there.
They also had a tour of the unit and whilst our photos show the vast variation of clothes that had been kindly donated by the public, there were also various other items including furniture, children’s toys and books etc for the public to buy.
The Cynthia Spencer Hospice team were so helpful and welcoming to our team, and plans are already being made for a return session in the near future which we’re so excited for!
