Combined Liability

Most businesses will purchase some form of liability insurance and a Combined Liability policy provides Employers, Public and Products Liability cover together in one policy.

Employers Liability is required by law for businesses with employees, with a minimum level of £5m being required. Employers Liability insurance will protect the business in respect of its legal liabilities in the event that an employee suffers injury or illness through their work.

Public Liability covers claims made by a third party in the event that they suffer injury or damage to their property arising out of your business activities.

Products Liability is designed to provide cover against claims for third party injury or damage resulting from products designed, manufactured or supplied by your business.

Although Public and Products Liability aren’t currently compulsory, most businesses will purchase this cover. Even relatively small incidents can be costly once the legal and compensation costs are totalled, so having adequate cover in place is essential.

Cover limits can be flexible, and other excess layer policies can be purchased to increase the level of cover carried.
