Local Northampton lad Ben, who had a sparkling amateur career which included representing England Golf & GB & NI in the The Walker Cup Team (Amateur Ryder Cup) against the USA, is now making waves on the Professional Circuit.
Ben secured his Asian Tour Card after 5 grueling rounds at Q School where he played his way into a nail-biting 9 man play-off. With only 2 cards to play for the stakes were high, and Ben birdied the 1st extra hole to secure his Tour Card which undoubtedly opens significant doors to further his professional golf journey.
The very next week Ben won his maiden MENA Tour title in New Cairo, Egypt! Ben carded rounds of 66, 71, 68 for a winning total of -8 after a flurry of birdies on his back nine.
Ben has now started his season strongly on the Asian Tour making the cut and finishing T46 in the International Series QATAR over the weekend in windy conditions. In this 1st outing he earned crucial points for the Order of Merit and improved on his World Golf Ranking.
So, very exciting times over the next few months as the Asian Tour Competitions come thick and fast with plenty to play for!
